BioFire Meningitis Encephalitis Panel

The BioFire Meningitis Encephalitis Panel test is carefully performed at our center to ensure precise and reliable results. It is an advanced multiplex PCR test that evaluates cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for the presence of 14 of the most common pathogens responsible for community-acquired meningitis or encephalitis, including bacteria, viruses, and yeast. Meningitis is characterised by the inflammation of the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord, often leading to symptoms such as stiff neck, sleepiness, and headaches.
