The Ganglioside Gm-1 (IgG & IgM) test is an important diagnostic tool. This blood test detects IgG and IgM antibodies against Ganglioside GM1, a glycolipid found in nerve cells. It is mainly used in the evaluation of immune-mediated neuropathies, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) and multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN).
