Intravenous Pyelogram
An Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) with contrast is a specialized X-ray used to closely examine the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. A special dye is injected into your bloodstream beforehand to make the urinary tract stand out clearly on the images. This test is highly effective at identifying kidney stones, an enlarged prostate, or other urinary system issues.
